I did receive a Riverview Bass Club Tournament report from Ronny Eller.
Their tournament was held last Saturday, May 9, 2012. It was launched from Cedar Creek Park. They fielded 10 teams. The first place winner had 3 fish that weighed 5 pounds. Second Place was under 2 pounds as was 3rd place. No word on where the winner caught their fish.
Ronny said “We fished cedar creek, the rock point, state park area, points on the left going toward lakeside and a cove on the right near white bluff with NO bites at all.”
Sounds like a tough, but typical, day on Whitney.
As I said in the last post, if you are not finding breaking fish and bait fish, you are not finding any fish… or at least that has been our experience.
Other than that, I don’t know what to say other than to keep trying. If folks are catching many fish, they are keeping their mouths shut about it. No one we talked to on the ramps or in the parks has been catching fish on Whitney that we know of.
If you are catching fish, we would like to hear from you! Send us an email at email@example.com.
