Loafers Bend East is one of the best campgrounds on Lake Whitney. This campground is located on the south end of Lake Whitney near the dam. At Loafers Bend East, most campsites have sweeping views of the lake. Also, this campground has plenty of trees for shade. The campsites have covered picnic tables for shade as well.
There are 66 campsites in Loafers Bend East.

March 1 to September 30: Water only sites are $12 per night. Electrical sites are $16 per night.
October 1 to February 28: Water only sites are $10 night. Electrical sites are $14 per night.

The day-use area of the park is beautiful as well. There is a great beach area and a nice children’s playground area for use. The park features some good bank fishing also.
If you are looking for a place to camp down near the dam, this is a great Corps of Engineers park that is open year round. This campground has all the amenities you would expect from a great park on Lake Whitney. Come out and enjoy the best of Loafers Bend East campgrounds!
